How to prepare an R&D tax relief claim report that focuses on the issues relevant to the guidelines

If you are a tax practitioner and you currently prepare R&D tax relief claims, or do not currently prepare claims in house and would either like to offer this service, or be able to review a claim prepared by another adviser that your client is asking you to submit to HMRC then this resource will help you with all of these things.
In this resource, I share with you how I present the core aspects of R&D claims to cover the issues relevant to the tax legislation and BEIS guidelines.

Below is a clip to show you what to expect from the resource. You can purchase this in-depth version of the claim report resource a little further down this page.
I'm a qualified chartered tax adviser with 20+ years experience working in corporate tax. I commenced my career in tax just a year after this relief was first introduced and have seen first hand its evolution.
I worked as part of the national R&D team for a Big 4 accountancy practice (my training firm), where I learned best practice when it comes to dealing with the issues relevant to R&D tax relief legislation and how to put this across in a report to support an R&D tax relief claim.
This resource is a knowledge share based on my experience gained throughout my career.
You might also find my resource sharing the eligibility framework I provide to my clients to identify qualifying projects in the software industry helpful. You can access this here.
Please note that the sales platform used is Gumroad, which will add VAT and then convert the value into US dollars, so no need to worry when this happens. You will be able to obtain a VAT receipt from the sales receipt the platform sends, there is a button to select this, under the button where you click to obtain the download.
